Dr. Goldenberg discusses melanoma of the fingernail

Melanoma of the fingernail is fairly rare. Although still more common in Caucasians, acral lentiginous melanoma is the most common type of melanoma found in patients of African descent. If you have a new dark spot on your had, foot, around the nail, or the fingernail itself, make sure to have it checked.
