Juvéderm reduces lines and creases and volumizes the skin
Loss of volume and structure in the skin is a normal part of the aging process. As we get older, our natural supply of hyaluronic acid diminishes. When reintroduced, hyaluronic acid, a sugar compound, interacts with water molecules in the skin and creates a volumizing, hydrating effect.
The Juvéderm line of dermal fillers are some of the most widely used minimally-invasive treatments and can address a variety of aesthetic concerns. Most commonly used around the nose and mouth, cheeks, lips, and jawline, Juvéderm products can correct age-related folds and fine lines, moderate-to-severe creases, and improve your overall appearance. Safe and effective, Juvéderm can be used to treat:
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Smile lines
- Thin lips
- Sunken cheeks
- Lines and dark circles under eyes
How are Juvéderm treatments performed?
Juvéderm treatments are fast and do not require any downtime. During your treatment, your doctor will use a sterile needle to inject the gel into depleted areas of the face. Once injected, the filler will increase the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin, and the renewal process will begin. Dr. Gary Goldenberg and Dr. Kristina Goldenberg will expertly administer the filler so that the outcome is subtle, natural, yet you will notice a difference right away. Treatments generally take between 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the area of the face and your aesthetic goals.
After treatment, some patients will experience some minor side effects, such as redness, swelling, and mild bruising at the injection site. Normally, these side effects will subside within a day or two and are not severe enough to disrupt normal routines.
