And rolling scars have varying depth, with sloping edges that make skin appear uneven and wavy. However, hypertrophic and keloid scars form as raised bumps of scar tissue. While scars may fade somewhat over time, they do not go away on their own.

Scar Reduction

Cutera ExcelV laser treatments are fast, convenient, and are virtually painless. An appropriate wavelength is selected and the specific cosmetic concern of each condition treated. A typical treatment takes about 15-30 minutes. The ExcelV laser can correct red, purple, blue, and brown discolorations. Additionally, it can be used on nearly all skin types. Cutera ExcelV can remedy a variety of skin imperfections, including scars and stretch marks.

Laser Genesis
Scar Reduction

Laser Genesis delivers thermal energy that penetrates the lower layer of the skin (dermis). This encourages the body to heal itself by stimulating the regeneration of collagen and elastin, giving the skin a new, smooth, clear surface and minimizing the appearance of scars. Laser Genesis is “lunchtime” procedure, because each painless treatment takes under a half an hour. And since skin is left intact, there’s no downtime afterwards.
