Microneedling with EVO MicroPen

Micro-needling is performed using the EVO MicroPen, a cordless device with a microneedle tip and a high-speed motor. The cluster of sterile fine needles at the tip creates micro-perforations in the skin, prompting the body to produce collagen and elastin, substances that aids the skin’s rejuvenation process.

During the treatments session, Dr. Goldenberg will first apply a mildly numbing lubricating gel to the surface of the skin to help the EVO MicroPen move across the skin and minimize discomfort. Dr. Goldenberg will gently press the EVO MicroPen’s tip onto the skin and glide the device over the treatment area. As the MicroPen punctures the skin, the patient may feel a light “sandpaper” sensation. Generally, treatments are well-tolerated.

For enhanced results, microneedling can be combined with with or without Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) – which can be used to enhance the treatment and help stimulate collagen production, cellular regeneration, and skin recovery.
